Resident Poster Competition and Scholarships
Showcase Your Research. Share Your Science. Take the Stage at the Science of Skin Summit.
The Science of Skin Summit is proud to announce the inaugural Resident Poster Competition, an opportunity for dermatology residents to present innovative research, gain national visibility, and engage with leading faculty and peers at the 2026 Science of Skin Summit on September 17-20.
Residents are invited to submit abstracts for consideration. Abstracts selected by the SSS Planning Committee will be invited to have their poster displayed in the SSS Poster Hall and a limited number of submissions will be selected to present their work live on stage during a poster presentation session on Sunday, September 20 from 8:00 am – 9:00 am.

Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant must be a current resident in a dermatology ACGME-accredited training program.
- Applicant must be the primary author or contributing author of the submitted abstract.
- The selected applicant must register and attend the Summit.
Abstract Topics May Include:
Submissions are welcome across medical, cosmetic, surgical, and regenerative dermatology, including original research, case studies, translational science, and emerging innovations. Encore abstracts will be accepted.
Poster Display
Accepted abstracts will be displayed as e-posters on touchscreen televisions in the conference space during the dates of September 17-20. Posters that are on display will be viewed by attendees throughout the weekend. Poster authors will not be required to stand next to their poster or present their e-poster.
Poster Competition Session
A limited number of residents will be selected to present their work live on stage during a featured poster presentation session on Sunday, September 20 from 8:00 am – 9:00 am. If selected, a member of the SSS team will contact you to provide details regarding the presentation format.
Top Abstract Award
One outstanding poster competition presenter will be recognized with the Science of Skin Summit Best Poster Presentation Award and presented with a $500 cash prize onsite. The award will be presented live onstage on Sunday, September 20.
Resident and Fellow Scholarships
Scholarships are available to support residents and fellows in attending the 2026 Science of Skin Summit. Applicants who are selected for the Poster Competition will receive priority consideration for the scholarship, making poster participation a great opportunity to both showcase your work and strengthen your scholarship application. The scholarship window is now closed.
