What began as a shared vision between two leading dermatologists has grown into one of the industry’s most trusted platforms for skin education.

In 2021, board-certified dermatologists and nationally recognized skincare experts Dr. Patricia Farris and Dr. Ted Lain launched the Science of Skin Summit with a clear mission: to create an educational experience dedicated exclusively to the science behind skin. Held annually in Austin, Texas, the Summit quickly became a premier destination for dermatologists, skincare professionals, and industry leaders seeking evidence-based insights and meaningful dialogue around the rapidly evolving world of skin.

As the community surrounding the Summit grew, so did the opportunities to expand its impact. Today, The Science of Skin extends far beyond a single annual meeting. Through live events, educational programming, industry collaborations, a growing podcast series, and the launch of the Longevity Summit, Drs. Farris and Lain continue to advance conversations at the intersection of dermatology, aesthetics, wellness, and healthy aging.
